It is designed to be a pure implementation of KDE, avoiding the custom patches often applied by other distributions. For web browsing, Firefox is included, but the system allows easy installation of thousands of other packages via APT and Snap support.

KDE neon is based on Ubuntu LTS (Long Term Support). It is a project developed by KDE themselves, designed to give users a direct line to their work. While most distributions hold back KDE updates for testing, neon delivers them immediately. This makes it a unique distribution that acts as a stable platform for the most advanced and modern desktop interface in the Linux world.

KDE neon is the perfect choice for design enthusiasts and users who appreciate a modern, slick user interface. It is excellent for home users transitioning from Windows who want a familiar taskbar and menu layout but with more power. Whether for work or customization, KDE neon offers a premium, cutting-edge, and stable desktop experience.
